A single press tops out around 60 shirts an hour. Our standard station puts two presses and two printers on the floor and clears 100+ an hour while guests keep coming. From pick to hand-off, each guest waits about two minutes.
Those are ceilings, not promises. Four colors run slower than one, a guest who can't decide holds up everyone behind them, and splitting one crew between screen and DTF costs some speed. For a big FedExForum night we add presses and printers.
Matching presses to a Memphis headcount
- Up to about 150 guests: one two-press station covers a corporate party in Germantown or a rehearsal dinner in Overton Square.
- 150 to 400: add a press or a second station so the wait stays short.
- 400 and up, or a short window: several stations, the usual build for a Renasant Convention Center booth or a festival on the river.
How guests arrive matters as much as how many. A convention aisle feeds the line all day, which usually earns the second press. A seated dinner on Beale sends people up in waves between courses, and one press handles that. Game nights are the hard case: most of the crowd comes before tip-off and at halftime, so we size the station for those two rushes. Send the headcount and the schedule and we'll spec the presses.
