Six to ten weeks is the comfortable range for a Memphis date. The presses ship freight from Fullerton and the crew flies in a day early, so shipping and load-in scheduling set the calendar, not press time. Shorter dates are still worth asking about.
Where the weeks go
- Freight. The kit has to leave Fullerton with slack built in. That's also why date changes want two weeks' notice.
- Art and blanks. Art should be final about a week out, and blank orders lock around the same time. A headcount that keeps moving delays a Memphis job more often than anything on our side.
- Big show weeks. When Renasant Convention Center has a major show in, hotels, drayage and labor all get tight together. Steering clear of that week is the cheapest budget move there is.
- Outdoor dates. A festival site by the river or a street event in Cooper-Young needs tents, power and permits sorted too, so give those dates extra room.
Short-notice dates go best with simple art and standard blanks. If you're planning a convention booth months ahead, better still, and we'll hold the date. Either way, tell us your date and headcount and we'll confirm availability within 24 hours.
