Weddings and private parties in Memphis call for something smaller than a trade-show rig: one handsome station, three or four designs to pick from, and printers who know to keep clear of the photographer. Guests choose, we print, and the favor goes home on their backs.
Receptions, big birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, reunions: the station works for all of them, anywhere from an Overton Square event space or a South Main loft to a Collierville backyard. Everything still comes by freight from Fullerton with the crew flying in the day before, so the first step is getting your date on our calendar.
Live t-shirt printing ideas for a Memphis celebration
- Stitched monograms: live embroidery for initials and the date on caps, totes or tees.
- Caps they design: patches picked and pressed at the hat bar in Memphis.
- After-party shirts: one simple design on a live DTF press, printed as guests ask, XS to 4XL.
- Totes and cups: something to take home for the guests who'd never put on a tee.
Space and power for a live printing station at a Memphis reception
Plan on a 10×10 ft spot and two 120V/20A circuits for each station. At a downtown hotel ballroom that goes on the banquet order, and the loading dock and freight elevator get booked for the morning of. Older Midtown and Cooper-Young houses and the South Main warehouse spaces tend to run the DJ, the bar and the string lights off one breaker, so we'll ask for a photo of the panel and bring one press plus a DTF lane if the circuits are tight. A tented backyard in Germantown or Collierville needs a quiet generator. From June through August the heat and humidity are the real problem, so keep the station under a roof or a canopy, and spring storms roll through fast enough that an outdoor setup needs a covered fallback. Each shirt takes about 2 minutes and a two-press station does 100+ an hour, so 150 guests run about 90 minutes. Our gear ships ahead by freight and the crew lands the day before, so the date has to be locked early.
